Margot describes her approach to therapy as integrative, creative, trauma-informed, and deeply understanding:
I’m passionate about helping individuals build and sustain functional, healthy relationships – with themselves, partners, family and the world at large - while investigating meaning and identity in their lives. I work with a variety of clients including those navigating anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, life transitions and interpersonal struggles.
I believe in creating a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences and work towards personal growth.
I specialize in helping individuals navigate challenges such as anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, life transitions, and relationship issues.
My therapeutic methods incorporate elements from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centred Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method for relationship therapy, Schema Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy, all with an interpersonal and existential focus .
Outside the therapy room, I find balance in and draw inspiration from family, friends, art, film, literature, music, and nature. This balance informs my practice, allowing me to connect with clients in a grounded and authentic way .
If you're seeking a therapeutic space to explore your inner world and foster meaningful change, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can embark on a journey towards understanding and growth.
In her own therapy Margot has seen Irvin Yalom, Ruthellen Josselson and Renata Stendhal, and her Masters’ of Counselling research thesis focused on long-term relationships during the course of the COVID-19 pandemic and what tools and learnings could be taken away from relationships that thrived under the pandemic’s stressors
